Vinney Green Secure Unit opened in February 1995, and accommodates 24 young people of both sexes, aged between 10 and 18. The Unit has been designed to a very high standard and is structured to provide physical containment in an environment which is comfortable and attractive. Vinney Green Secure Unit offers young people a safe and caring environment, where they experience quality care, education, recreational facilities, vocational and life skills training.

Working as part of a team, you will assist in the ordering of supplies, help maintain a high standard of food hygiene, and on a day-by-day basis supervise Kitchen Assistants. You will also assist in the planning of the menus in conjunction with the Facilities Manager and the young people to ensure customer care is maintained.

This post is permanent, 34.25 hours per week, working a 7 day on, 7 day off rota to include weekends and bank holidays. Mondays starting at 7am, Tuesday through to Friday starting at 7.30am and weekends starting at 8.30am. All shifts finish at 6.00pm.

Please note as per Childrens Homes National Minimum Standards a worker aged 23 or older is required for this post.
