Further information

The West of England is an economic leader with an economy worth over £31 billion a year. A net contributor to the national purse, with a population of over 1 million people and over 43,000 businesses, our region competes on a global scale.

In 2016, three of the councils in the West of England signed a devolution deal worth £1 billion to ensure we are able to deliver this potential, by handing down powers and funding that enable us to secure sustainable economic growth, based around a more connected and prosperous region.

Significant powers and responsibilities will be transferred to the region as part of the deal, including the power to elect a West of England Mayor in May 2017. A new West of England Combined Authority has now been established to manage and deliver these new powers and responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced Project/Programme Manager to provide executive support to the Director of Corporate Services on major West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) funded projects and initiatives, and to provide a main point of contact on WECA and LEP issues related to these projects.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking and/or supporting the Director of Corporate Services on projects, related high-level research, guidance and best practice and other major initiatives on behalf of WECA and the LEP, and to be responsive to government funding and other announcements.
