Under the direction of the Senior Social Worker, the Placements Officer will be responsible for the identification of in house foster placements for children needing to come into Care and Looked After Children, with assistance from others within the team where necessary. This will enable Social Workers to select the best placement for each child.

The post holder will check referrals for placements for Looked After Children and Children needing to be Looked After for completeness and anonymity, identifying placements which best match identified needs.

About the team

The Family Placement (Fostering) Team are responsible for recruiting new Foster Carers, Supervising Foster Carers and identifying placements for Children and Young People with Foster Carers where they are unable to remain with their parents and or family.
