We have a number of exciting opportunities to join the our new Resilience Service, such as Rapid Responders, Support Officer, Assistant Commissioning Office, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Senior Practitioners. We are looking for experienced, motivated and energetic people to play an integral part in transforming how we deliver this new services.

The Resilience Service is an umbrella service for the Rapid Response Team, Home to Decide Team and Next Steps to Decide service (Alexandra Way). The service aims to reduce risk, and meet the council’s duty of care in the event of the market not being able to meet demand for domiciliary or residential care. Its secondary aims are to reduce hospital discharge delays attributable to social care and to reduce the number of hospital discharges that result in residential care.


Rapid Responders

As a Rapid Responder you will visit service users in their own homes at a various locations across South Gloucestershire where an adult is in crisis. Aiding the service user (resident) with personal care and assist with food/drink without which the person would suffer some harm.

Resilience Service Support Officer

The role of the Support Officer is a supporting role working within the Resilience Team to provide administrative support to the Children, Adults and Health department supporting the professional teams within Badminton Road and/or Kingswood Civic Centre.

Assistant Commissioning Officer

The role of the Commissioning Assistant will assist service users and their families with the transition from acute hospital care to a care home placement or their own home with a package of care. You work within the Resilience Team with day to day operational support provided by Senior Practitioners.

Senior Practitioner
