Artist in Residence
We're looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated artist who is experienced in working with disadvantaged young people as an artist in residence. The role will include:
- recruiting and engaging young people in creative social action projects
- putting on shows/exhibitions with young participants
- ensuring young people have access to suitable progression routes following their completion of projects and activities
- delivering creative employability sessions and supporting young people to achieve their Bronze and Silver Arts Award.
You will have a flexible and creative approach to work and be a strong and solution focused team player. You will need to be effective in working in partnership with other organisations and communities to enable you to engage young people in creative activities and projects. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the creative arts environment in Bristol and the surrounding areas, together with local opportunities available for young people.
Fixed term contract: 12 Months
Salary: £26,200 per annum (pro rata) (Grade 2.8)
Hours: 8 Hours per week
