Finance Officer

We are currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our dedicated finance team in our newly refurbished office in Kingswood. This role would suit an experienced and ambitious finance assistant, finance officer or book keeper.

Creative Youth Network is a successful charity organisation that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support. We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment, and are PQASSO accredited. We’ve opted in to the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.

The main purpose of your role is to carry out the financial procedures and processes of Creative Youth Network to ensure that the organisation manages its finances effectively, implementing good financial controls and providing good customer service to internal and external stakeholders. It includes responsibility for credit control and processing and maintaining income flows, which include the grants we receive and rent from our tenants. You will receive support and guidance from the senior finance manager when you require it; however, the role does require a significant degree of autonomy.

You will be a resilient and process driven person with a keen eye for detail. You will have extensive and thorough experience of end-to-end processing of payroll and prioritising your duties to fit around internal and external deadlines. You may possess professional membership and you may possess a book keeping or accounting qualification, however this is desirable and not essential. It is important that you have experience working with processing invoices in addition to understanding the various different financial processes and requirements.

In return, we can offer 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) per year, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and development opportunities.

This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £23,977 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Application deadline: 21st February 2019, 09:00

Interviews: TBC
