Salary: Hay 9 SCP 22-26 (£21,074-£23,866), pro rata

An exciting and varied opportunity has arisen for a Community Project and Research Officer working for a vibrant and proactive local Council. The Council is responsible for the Brockeridge Centre, children’s play areas, allotments, the park and pavilion and the Centenary Field. Further information on the work of the Parish Council can be found on the Council’s website.

As part of a small team, the Community Project and Research Officer will work on specific Council schemes, projects and general administration including servicing of Council meetings and finance work.

Applications from candidates that have a strong community focus are welcomed, as the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with our partners is essential. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate experience of working in an environment delivering similar services, as well as having good report writing skills, the ability to work proactively using initiative, to research, plan and support project work, including applying for grants or funding. Good communication and IT skills are essential, and the person appointed must be helpful and supportive towards Parish Council staff, Councillors and the general public.
