Hours: 10 hours per week, term time only (Monday to Thursday 9.15am until 11.45am)
Salary: Hay 10 (£4,520 – £4,893 per annum)

This is a fixed term post until 31st August 2020 subject to governor review of funding.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to work with our EYFS children and our team of Reading Teaching Assistants. You will be based in our vibrant EYFS setting supporting children’s development in phonics and reading.

This is a really exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to develop their EYFS skills.

We would like to hear from you if you:
- Have experience of working in the primary phase;
- Having experience of teaching phonics to Early Years children is desirable, but not essential as training will be given;
- Have experience of supporting learning and improving outcomes for all children;
- Have an interest or specialism in one of the foundation subjects;
- Can motivate and engage children in all areas of learning;
- Have high expectations for all children and can positively promote inclusion;
- Have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team and are willing to work flexibly alongside a range of children and adults;
- Are able to provide nurturing and caring support for all children;
- Are fun, energetic and bursting with energy.

The successful candidate will need to have a good standard of general education, to include literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to NVQ2 in English and Maths. Previous experience of working with children in an educational context with evidence of relevant training in the appropriate age range or curriculum/learning area.

• You have proven experience of working as part of a successful team;
• You want to be a part of the whole school development process.
