Hay 10 (£10,171 - £11,009 per annum)

This is a temporary post subject to funding that will end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school.

We are looking to appoint a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream class supporting a Year 3 child with the support of an EHCP and a primary need of social, emotional and mental health.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with SEN/D and SEMH in developing areas such as: social communication skills, attentional and listening skills, writing skills, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, and sensory sensitivities.

Experience of differentiating a curriculum to support the child’s needs and an understanding of approaches to develop self-esteem is essential; whilst patience, empathy and the ability to think on your feet and be flexible are characteristics which will come naturally to you.

The person appointed will need to have 3 or more GCSEs (including Mathematics and English) at Grade C or above or other equivalents and previous experience of working with children in an educational setting.

This is a temporary part-time position which is matrix funded for 22.5 hours per week term time only. Hours to be agreed at interview.
