Further information

We are looking for a Targeted Youth Worker (Wellbeing) to join our Targeted Youth Services team based in East/Central Bristol. You will have experience in delivering CBT based interventions to young people in a 1:1 setting. You will be qualified to Level 7 or equivalent in mental health for young people.

Creative Youth Network is a successful charity organisation that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support. We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment, and are PQASSO accredited. We’ve opted in to the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.

You will be delivering services in East/Central Bristol for young people aged 11 – 19. The role will include a combination of 1:1 work, small group work, outreach and open access delivery. You will be responsible for a caseload of up to 20 young people at any one time. You’ll also be expected to work a minimum of two evenings per week, therefore flexibility is also essential.

You’ll have two years’ experience of delivering a range of interventions to achieve outcomes for young people through effective use of resources and targeted delivery.

You’ll be expected to have the confidence to challenge a diverse group of young people and fuel their motivation to engage with the service. You’ll also need to demonstrate an ability to build effective, meaningful and trusting relationships with young people, empowering them and providing tailored guidance.

In return we can offer 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata for part time) per year, generous pension scheme, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and fantastic development opportunities.

We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to ensuring that underrepresented communities are represented in our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from the BAME community.

This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
