How you’ll make a difference
You will be doing really important work to support the Children, Adults and Health Team by scheduling and supporting a variety of meetings ensuring that accurate minutes are taken. Sometimes these meetings will be sensitive and upsetting and you will be required to display understanding and professionalism at all times.

What does a typical day look like?
The most rewarding aspect of this role is being part of a team, working together to make safeguarding personal. This role enables staff to see the positive side of safeguarding and how the Adult Care Safeguarding team work towards positive outcomes.

You will collect information and maintain records in the Adult Care database for use by others.

You will support the service by accurately undertaking set tasks within identified specialist areas in a fast-paced environment.

You will communicate effectively and professionally ensuring that courteous and professional customer service is provided to all BS SG colleagues, members of the Adult Care Safeguarding team, outside professional organisations as well as clients and their families.

You will prepare varied, accurate documents to a high standard using some non-standard formats and software.

You will schedule, set up and support a variety of meetings ensuring that accurate minutes are taken. You will ensure that information is disseminated within required timescales and you will demonstrate an awareness of Data Protection.

You will also support other office functions as directed by the Business Support Team Leader to enable the day to day business to operate both effectively and efficiently, which may include traveling to other office locations if required.

What we need from you:
Ideally, you will be a good team player but also with the ability to work alone effectively under pressure, to be able to use initiative and prioritise own workload.

You will have good communion skills with relevant customer care skills and experience of working within a fast-paced environment

You will understand or have keen interest in safeguarding and being a part of making a difference.

You will have a high standard of administrative skills and experience of working in an office environment, including a high level of proficiency in word processing and keyboard skills and minute taking but also to use of database systems to look up and input information.

You will need to be adaptable, flexible and co-operative in approach.

The equivalent of a minimum of 3 GCSE's at Grade C or above, (including Maths and English).
