How you’ll make a difference
As a System Administrator you will be supporting, maintaining and developing the Department’s information systems so we can deliver essential services to our communities.

What does a typical day look like?
No day is the same in this job. Under supervision of the Team Leader, you will be expected to deal with problems and issues that are encountered in the support, maintenance and upgrading of Information Systems across the Department. This will include producing information reports, analysing complex data and making sure reports fulfil statutory requirements. Good written and verbal communication skills will be needed as you liaise with a variety of stake holders to fulfil their expectations of service, as well as managing third party suppliers to partners, to negotiate and manage projects.

What we need from you:
- Educated to degree standard, or working towards a relevant professional qualification in an IT or IS related subject, or with relevant experience in a similar role
- Be able to demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and written.
- The ability to have good team working and influencing skills.
- The ability to use your initiative, and to work independently and to established deadlines.
- Have relevant experience in a Business Critical IT application support role.
