How you’ll make a difference

You will make a difference as an Assistant Commissioning Officer by finding long term placements for children and young people.

What will you be doing?

Sourcing a range of placements from fostering, children’s homes, independent and non-maintained school and 16 plus independent accommodation, you will arrange individual placement contracts and purchase order numbers for invoices and deal with issues raised by Social workers.

You will work with suppliers to see how they can meet the needs of the children and young people, whilst also considering the overall quality of the service being offered and monitor contractual arrangements with service providers.

What we need from you:

You’ll hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or relevant experience to an equivalent level and have experience of employment related to Children and Young People in Education, Social Services, Health or the Voluntary Sector.

It is essential that you have excellent relationship building skills.

You will have a can-do attitude and be able to be relied upon.

We require you to able to meet deadlines.
