Main Duties

To supervise the passengers while they are on the vehicle.

To take primary responsibility for the physical and social care of passengers during the trip to and from school.

To ensure that issues affecting passengers are relayed to Parents, School and the Integrated Transport Unit, e.g. behavioural problems.

To assist passengers, including wheelchair users, in and out of the vehicle as appropriate.

Selection Criteria

Essential

Experience of dealing with children.

Ability to deal with children with special needs in a calm, understanding, caring and empathetic manner.

Physically able to assist children on and off the vehicle, including wheelchair users.

Exemplifying the Council's values and behaviours.

Desirable

Experience of special needs.

Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Regulations.
