Further information

South Gloucestershire Council are currently looking for a number of social workers and advanced social workers to join us across our Integrated Children's Services.

We are widely recognised for our training and development opportunities, ability to move teams and progress into managerial roles or subject expert leads; so much so that many consider us to offer a 'career under one roof' - why look anywhere else?

We have flexible options with regards to full time, part time or job share opportunities; and roles currently available across the following teams:

- Access and Response Team (Front door / assessment)
- Long Term Child Protection (our Locality Hubs in Kingswood, Yate and Patchway)
- Exploitation specilist team (Yate Hub)
- Fostering Team, specifically connected carer / kinship
- Looked After Children Team
- Transition to Independence (care leavers)
- Children with disabilities (0-18 year old)
- Young adults with disabilities (16-25 year old)

To see more about our service, teams and hear from our social workers and team managers directly - go to www.socialworksouthglos.co.uk and see how South Gloucestershire Council is here for you, your career and your development.

Please note, you must be able to demonstrate:

- You already hold relevant qualification as a social worker
- Are registered with the HCPC
- Have completed your ASYE (where qualified post 2012)
- Possess a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use.

To register your interest in hearing more about roles in South Gloucestershire Council, please contact our Resourcing Advisor Joe Scrase at joe.scrase@southglos.gov.uk for a word document for you to register your top level details, areas interest and key skills - or use our online registration to enable our team to contact you for a confidential discussion by going to www.socialworksouthglos.co.uk

Alternatively call to discuss or arrange a coffee and a chat about what options we have and where you can find your best fit.

Salary banding is £28,785 - £34,788, with relocation costs up to £8,000 tax free reimbursed if you relocate to South Gloucestershire to work for the council.

Front Door and Long Term Child Protection Teams also offer a one-time £3,000 recruitment payment after probation; all our Senior Social Worker posts across all the Children's Services attract this one time payment too!

This is a rolling advert and therefore may be closed earlier than the advertised date, or extended as appropriate - therefore please do contact us as early as possible.
