Cleaning Operative – St Peter’s Primary School, Pilning
• 10 hours per week, 15:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, Term Time Only plus 15 days of holiday clean.

Under the day to day supervision of a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out cleaning at one or more locations, either individually or as part of a team, following Integra’s prepared schedules and to agreed quality standards.
This post is based at St Peter’s Primary School, Pilning.
This post has an hourly rate of £8.50 and will require you to work Term Time Only plus 15 days if holiday clean. The approximate salary before deductions is £4,025.00 per annum.
This roles is available immediately, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks being completed.
An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults Barred List checks will be required for this role.
Local government salary-related pension offered, together with other council benefits.
Based within Integra - Integra is the trading arm of South Gloucestershire Council
About the role:
The key duties include:
• Carrying out all cleaning using materials and equipment in a safe and proper manner
• The ability to move cleaning equipment and materials. This post will require you to bend, crouch, kneel, stretch and lift regularly.
• To meet the cleaning specification to include; washing/ wiping of surfaces, cleaning toilets, vacuuming, mopping and the use of the floor polish machine.
• To organise resources in an effective and efficient manner to fulfil day to day operational requirements.

Selection Criteria
Essential
•To be able to carry out routine tasks to agreed standards
• To be able to follow processes on the condition and safe storage of cleaning chemicals, and dispense, dilute and use chemicals in the correct method
• Experience in using cleaning equipment and chemicals (training will be given)
• Able to carry out bending and lifting such as moving cleaning equipment and materials.
• To be able to follow instructions and work unsupervised or as part of a team
Desirable
• To communicate with all customers and colleagues in a polite and friendly manner (both verbal and written)
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• To be aware of the environment in which you are working and the service users’ needs.
• To have an organised methodical approach
• To be able to problem solve/ work using your own initiative
