Summary of Post

We are looking for an individual that has a caring nature and an understanding of vulnerable people. Would you like the opportunity to assist us in providing an all year round lifeline service to South Gloucestershire residents, delivering hot and cold food to their homes? Then we would like to hear from you.

This post has a starting hourly rate of £8.62, working 22 hours per week including 1 weekend in 4. The approximate salary before deductions is £9,888.00 per annum.

This is an all year round position (including bank holidays).

The position is based at Little Stoke Primary School and covers all rounds across the South Gloucestershire area.

This post is based within Integra - Integra is the trading arm of South Gloucestershire Council.

An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults Barred List checks will be required for this role.

Local government salary-related pension offered, together with other council benefits.

Main Duties

You will be allocated a South Gloucestershire vehicle and will be required to report daily to Little Stoke Primary School kitchen, pack and collect meals, load containers, checking the number of meals and the correct dietary requirements against the list provided before setting off on your round.

Requirements

• Deliver meals to service users in accordance with a delivery list, ensuring that the service user is seen and that any case for potential concern is reported back as necessary.
• Probe and record meal temperatures to ensure these are correct.
• Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety and hygiene regulations are complied with in all the work undertaken.
• To carry out such other associated duties as are required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.
