An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a 2 year secondment as a Developer TRO Technician to work within the specialist team dealing with the Design and Implementation of Traffic Schemes in South Gloucestershire.
This is a Career Grade Linked Role with entry at grade Hay 9 allowing development within the role to achieve grade Hay 8 standard.

What will you be doing?
You will be preparing designs, undertaking consultations and introducing Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders to include:
• Assessing the development for its TRO needs
• Preparing TRO drawings using Autocad
• Undertaking consultations and preparing feedback reports including receiving and responding to communications from the public, members and other stakeholders
• Liaising with Leqal in order to arrange for the TROs to be advertised and sealed
• Preparing objection reports
• Liaising with developers, councillors, statutory consultees and other stakeholders including members of the public

Developer TRO Technician H9:
At Hay9 grade the post holder will be expected to undertake the above duties with general supervision from a more senior officer, but will be expected to work alone on some occasions,.

Developer TRO Technician H8:
At Hay8 grade, the post holder will be expected to work on most schemes with minimal supervision.

Essential Requirements:
Developer TRO Technician H9:
HNC/HND or equivalent in a highways or civil engineering related discipline or ONC or equivalent with considerable relevant experience.

Developer TRO Technician H8:
Degree in a highways or civil engineering related discipline, or HNC/HND or equivalent in a highways or civil engineering related discipline with considerable post qualification relevant experience.
