We are looking for an experienced and professionally qualified and registered social care manager to undertake a 12 month secondment in our Resilience Service. The successful candidate must have well-developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships and negotiate with colleagues and partners and experience of managing social care services, projects and budgets.

It’s an exciting time, as we’re creating this new temporary Resilience Service Team Manager post under the existing Service Manager due to a growth in services, including the creation of the new in-house resilience service from 1 April 2019.

This new role will manage:

• The Rapid Response Service which provides 24 hour emergency response for adults in crisis,

• Prison Occupational Therapy Services, and;

• New in house resilience service being introduced from 1 April 2019 which creates an additional social care discharge from hospital pathway through two offers:

1. Home to decide – where an individual is discharged home, the service put in immediate care and support for up to six weeks alongside conversations about longer term needs. 185 hours support per week are available.

2. Next steps to decide – where an individual is offered a rehabilitation bed at Alexandra Way Care home for up to 6 weeks, for rehabilitation alongside conversations about longer term needs. 11 step down beds are available.

Please indicate how you meet each of the essential criteria below in your application:

1. Recognised and relevant professional qualification e.g. Dips, CQSW, CSS, Diploma or Degree in OT. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

2. Substantial post qualification experience in a relevant setting along with evidence of on-going continuous professional development and a thorough knowledge of current legislation and practice relating to adult social care services.

3. Evidence of relevant management qualification, with experience of leading teams and supervising other professionals to achieve optimum performance in delivering excellent social care services.

4. Well-developed interpersonal skills – able to build positive relationships, lead, communicate, influence and negotiate with colleagues and partners

5. Previous experience of managing complex projects, services and budgets
