This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team supporting the operation of MetroBus in the Bristol area. This role combines traditional customer service elements, along with monitoring Metrobus performance and helping resolve operational issues. This is an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of the provision of bus services in Bristol and gain experience within the public transport field.

Fixed-Term for 12 months (with a potential to extend)

Your primary task be providing information and resolving enquiries from the public on the phone, via e-mail, and social media; in relation to all aspects of Metrobus service operation. You will also provide administration support with regards to Metrobus governance, such as report preparation.

In addition you will also be involved in monitoring Metrobus performance, and helping resolve operational issues as they arise; including liaison with colleagues within the authority and partner authorities, to tackle challenges relating to infrastructure, information, and ticketing.

You should have excellent customer service and organisational skills, as well as a methodical approach to problem solving.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of the provision of bus services, and experience within the public transport field.

This role can only be taken as a secondment if you are a permanent Bristol City Council employee. You are required to bring your managers written approval to your interview if you are shortlisted.
