Targeted Youth Worker (Relationships and Sex) x3

We are currently seeking three Targeted Youth Workers (Relationships and Sex) to join our Targeted Youth Services team based in Bristol.

Creative Youth Network is a successful charity organisation that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support. We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment, and are PQASSO accredited. We’ve opted in to the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.

You will be delivering services across the city for young people aged 11 – 19 and will engage with 1-2-1 meetings with referred young people identifying issues and vulnerabilities around their domestic and sexual relationships. You will be responsible for a caseload of up to 20 young people at any one time supporting them with their relationships and engaging with them to deliver exemplary advice and guidance. You will also be required to engage with the local community through schools and other youth organisations, promoting support for young people, sign posting and utilising resource that the organisation has. Supporting other Targeted Youth Workers (Relationships and Sex), you’ll deliver tailored and targeted sessions to individuals and groups on topics such as the delivery of C-Card and drugs/alcohol interventions.

You’ll have two years’ experience of delivering a range of interventions to achieve outcomes for young people through effective use of resources and targeted delivery. You’ll be expected to have the confidence to challenge a diverse group of young people and fuel their motivation to engage in sessions and with the service. You’ll also need to demonstrate an ability to build effective, meaningful and trusting relationships with young people empowering them and providing tailed guidance. Travel is required for this role, so a full driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial. You’ll also be expected to work a minimum of two evenings per week, therefore flexibility is also essential.

In return we can offer 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata for part time) per year, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and development opportunities.

This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
