StreetCare are looking to recruit two new highway maintenance operatives to complement our existing frontline workforce. The new posts are to work with our existing frontline teams repairing potholes. You will need to produce high quality work, right first time approach, using appropriate materials, tools, equipment and vehicles. We require operatives with a minimum of three years relevant experience and Category C driving license with an up-to-date CPC.

Main Duties:
To undertake civil engineering, structures and highway maintenance works. Ensure that a good standard of workmanship is delivered. Undertake general manual labouring work and assist in specialist practices such as fencing, drainage, earthworks, asphalt mixes, kerbing, landscaping and structures works. Ensure safe methods of work are employed at all times including safe operation of plant and equipment. Be responsible for your own safety on site as well as your fellow workers and the general public.

Essential Criteria:
• Minimum of three years relevant experience of highway maintenance and construction work
• A valid driving licence with category C and up-to-date CPC training

Desirable Criteria:
• New Roads & Street Works Accredited Operative
• Training in the use of small plant, such as, but not limited to, abrasive wheel and light plant
• A valid driving licence with category C+E and up-to-date CPC training
