You will provide administrative support and be an effective communicator when dealing with enquiries and information requests.

The Western Gateway is a new economic partnership across south Wales and western England which aims to boost local economies by working together. The Western Gateway was launched in November 2019 and is the UK’s third powerhouse after the Northern Powerhouse and the Midlands Engine.
The Executive Officer will lead on the organisation and management of the Secretariat function, managing the budget and financial accountability.
We welcome internal secondments for this post, you should first seek your line manager’s permission before applying.

What will you be doing?

You will support the Executive Officer in administering the Secretariat function to include managing diaries, emails and events and supporting the Chair.

Within this role you will develop strategic relationships and workstreams with the business stakeholders across the geography, which will vary from strategic business leaders to those working on specific projects or engaging in workshops or conferences.

On a day to day basis you will be making decisions on the development of the business engagement function and have the ability and drive to find solutions to problems which work for its stakeholders.

What we need from you:
